Christine Connerly has taught reading and other study skills at the college level for many years. In this presentation she discusses strategies that students can use to experience the power of reading as a key to academic success. She emphasizes “active” reading over “passive” reading, and presents tips to improve reading speed and comprehension.  Ms. Connerly also explains the SSQ3R method of reading study skills: Survey the reading materials, ask questions about the materials, Read, Recite, and Review.
