In his globe-trotting presentation entitled “Eat the View,” Roger Doiron tells the story of how millions of people are taking on big, international problems like diet-related disease, climate change, and social injustice by growing small, edible gardens. Doiron focuses on an inspiring group of change-makers who have taken risks and encountered opposition in their efforts to promote gardens and healthy foods. Despite some high-profile victories for food gardens over the past five years, Doiron points out that the fight for more edible landscapes is still in its early stages. More resources and leadership will be needed for the food garden movement to grow and realize its full potential.
