Dr. Jennifer Wilking draws on her experience teaching in the Czech Republic to look at the refugee crisis in Europe and the response by the European Union. She provides background for the refugee crisis, including the reasons so many people are fleeing their home countries. She also identifies the refugees’ destination countries. Dr. Wilking then looks closely at immigration in the Czech Republic, where 4.7% of the population are immigrants.
