Studying Waterfowl Ecology in the Pacific Flyway: New Technology Leads to New Insights
From Jeff Layne
USGS Western Ecological Research Center
Wildlife biologist Mike Casazza presents his research findings on California waterfowl. Mike discusses the movement of waterfowl and what they are learning from their movement. In the second half of the presentation he looks at the nesting ecology of birds in the Suisun Marsh. His targeted research studies provide critical species information to land managers responsible for maintaining diverse and healthy wildlife populations.
