Dr. Vernon Andrews,
Have you ever felt out of place? Did you ever work hard for an opportunity only to feel like it wasn’t all it was cracked up to be? Have you struggled with identity in the midst of a life change? Dr. Vernon Andrews has. From his childhood hardships in urban Oakland to college life at more-rural CSU, Chico, to a life in the corporate world and living abroad in New Zealand; his life has been full of change. Through these experiences, he’s learned to adapt to change gracefully with an open mind.
Dr. Vernon Andrews is a CSU, Chico alumnus, holds a Ph.D., and taught in New Zealand for more than a decade. His experiences and life of transition are a testament that adaptation to change is not only wise, but necessary to thrive and achieve growth. In his talk, he offers practical advice on how to acclimate to unfamiliar situations, and maintain your personal identity in radically different circumstances.
