Joe Crotts CSU, Chico Meriam Library; Head of Library Government Documents and Library Circulation/ Interlibrary Services/ Reserve
The intent of Joe Crotts’ paper about the history of California State University, Chico, has been to uncover the esoteric events – many heretofore virtually unknown – in the University’s 130-year history. These events, combined with what had already been known, combine to comprise a colorful profile of the higher education institution that started as Chico Normal School, changed to Chico State College, and became California State University, Chico. Much of the content comes from unpublished sources gleaned by Mr. Crotts over his 40-plus year career spent investigating the history of the campus. This discussion focuses on the years 1960 to the present. (Images not available.)
