Dr. Kodeeswaran Parameshwaran is a new Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences. In his first major presentation on campus, he shares his research project centered on understanding the molecular and physiological mechanisms of memory decline. Particularly, he is interested in studying memory defects arising from exposure to psychoactive substances during early stages of life. He discusses memory loss, Alzheimer’s disease, developmental nicotine exposure, and traumatic stress.
