Ms. Ory begins her talk by listing and explaining six steps to the writing process: brainstorming, organizing ideas, drafting, revising, editing, and finalizing/turn in. She explains how to construct an outline in order to organize ideas and make an essay read smoothly. As an example, she shares an outline of a final paper she wrote. Finally, she and her audience create an essay topic and outline from scratch.
