Blake Wentz began his career at Chico State in July 2020. His experience in higher education includes a variety of roles that will be invaluable to students at Chico State. He earned his doctorate in technology management from Indiana State University and his master’s in engineering and his bachelor’s in business administration from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He previously worked as the department chair of the Civil, Architectural Engineering and Construction Management Department at the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and also served as interim program director of graduate programs from June 2018 to November 2019.

Gary Borders has more than 40 years of technical and team leadership experience in both Aerospace and consumer electronics businesses. His roles as a second and third level section manager in marketing research and development and supply chain has provided recruiting and management experience at all levels. Gary has been a member of the Dean's Engineering Advisory Board for nearly 25 years and is a distinguished alumnus for the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management at Chico State.
