Dr. Akarapisan is a program administrator in the Payap University’s program for foreign exchange students in Chiang Mai, Thailand. Educated at Western Michigan University, she lectures about both Islam and political science. In this presentation, she answers students’ questions about being a Muslim woman in Buddhist-majority Thailand. CSU, Chico students have the opportunity to meet Dr. Akarapisan via the Study Abroad program held in Chang Mai every summer.
