Naomi Williams

Author Naomi Williams reads from her novel, “Landfalls,” about French maritime explorations in the 18th century. Each chapter is written from a different point of view – the captain, deckhands, indigenous persons. In this presentation, she reads a chapter titled “Above the Mangroves” that takes place in Australia. Ms. Williams won a Pushcart Prize for her work. She earned a creative writing degree from UC Davis and now teaches there.
