“You
can’t manage what you don’t measure!” During this presentation Christina Buck
highlights portions of the Water Inventory and Analysis Report 2016 from this
multi-year project. Water budgets are an important tool to help everyone
understand how much water flows through the hydrologic system. Water budgets
include numbers for inflows by source and all of the water uses from agriculture
to urban. Dr. Buck explains why it is important to have a water budget and all
of the questions that need to be answered during its creation, its
interpretation once it is created, and how it can be used to manage limited
resources.
