What's New with Medicare in 2024

The Annual Enrollment Period for Part D drug plans and Part C Medicare Advantage plans begins October 15 and will end December 7. PASSAGES Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP) is providing several community workshops entitled What’s New with Medicare in 2024 to help Medicare beneficiaries make the best choice possible for their health care needs in the coming year. These workshops will explain changes in Medicare – plus information about drug plans, which plans will remain in the area, which plans will be leaving, and will also answer questions about Medicare Advantage plans.

In this workshop, we will:

• Review Medicare 2024 Costs & Enrollment Periods
• Learn basic information about the 2024 Medicare Plan landscape
• Part D and Medigap Supplemental Insurance guaranteed issue rights
• Medicare Savings Programs, Extra Help & Medi-Cal changes for 2024
• Discuss Open Enrollment fraud alerts & scams
