A panel of journalists and legal experts discuss free speech issues in the field of journalism. They include: Peter Scheer, Executive Director of the First Amendment Coalition; Jim Ewert, General Counsel of the California Newspaper Publishers Association; Duffy Carolan, partner at Jassey, Vicki, and Carolan; David Little, Editor, Chico Enterprise-Record; K.C Meadows, Editor, Ukiah Daily Journal; and John Raess, Associated Press Bureau Chief in San Francisco. Peter Scheer is the panel moderator. He introduces the discussion by explaining that his organization, the First Amendment Coalition, is dedicated to government transparency and freedom of speech. He states that it is adherence to these two principles that make a government accountable to the people.
